It’s almost time for the annual EdTechRVA conference! We currently have under 100 spots left and expect to sell out once again this year!
This year’s conference features everything from codeable flying drones to educational breakouts, all presented by highly knowledgeable classroom teachers and technology coaches from around the commonwealth. You’ll be sure to leave inspired and ready to implement plenty of new ideas when you return to your classroom.
Here is a sampling of some of the dynamic presentations that will be available during the conference:
Flipgrid Fever– Seamlessly integrate Flipgrid into your classroom to motivate and engage your students with this video discussion tool. Come see how Flipgrid can enhance your students’ understanding of topics and give you insight to their learning.
Learning Takes Flight: Using Codable Drones in the Classroom– This session will explore learning opportunities that provides students and teachers with activities designed to engage in active and immersive experiences, allow for exploration, and hands-on approaches with learning.
What’s All the Hype About HyperDocs?– This will be a hands-on session in which attendees experience the flow of a HyperDoc while learning how to create a HyperDoc lesson for their students. Participants will leave ready to hype up their classrooms.
Span the Globe with Google My Maps- Empower your class with the tools to soar around the world and take learning adventures using the G Suite applications Forms, Sheets, and Google My Maps.
Creating a Maker Culture– Come learn how Hungry Creek Middle and Wilder Middle Schools began building Maker Cultures in their buildings through harnessing community resources and collaboration with their librarians.

This is Chris Biagiarelli’s 5th year as an tech coach and his 3rd year as a member of GRAETC. He currently serves as the chair for the EdTechRVA conference. Before becoming a tech coach, Chris taught fifth grade for eight years. He gets great satisfaction in solving problems and helping others in anyway he can.
